I live in a quaint English village surrounded by beautiful open countryside.

Cottages with thatched roofs and grand Manor Houses make our small village look great.

We are the furthest from the sea you can be but we have beautiful canals and rivers nearby. Lots of lovely walks. Walking is popular here, so much prettiness to see.

How about where you live??? What's it like where you live??

I live in Chesterfield, Virginia, have live her on and off all my life. I now live in the house I grew up in. Now, instead being in the country, I live in an area that has grown beyond itself. I have two acres of fields. I have a horse in my backyard in the same barn I had my first horse in. Would love to go farther out to an area that wasn't as populated, I crave open space.

I live just outside of a town of 7000 people on two acres. It's peaceful and quiet out here. During a late summer night with windows open you can here the deer walking up and down the county road it's so quiet. My back yard consist of one of the most beautiful places on earth, the rocky mountains. I can sit here on either deck during the summer and never grow tired of looking at the Beautiful Rocky Mountains that seem to go on forever. And whenever I feel like it I can walk down to the creek that flows through my back yard and drown a worm or two.

I live in a quiet suburb of Nashville, Tennessee, probably 50-70,000 people here now. The town originally grew up from the banks of the Cumberland River. In the 50's they built a dam and flooded a large area which is now a nice lake for recreation. I can walk to the lake in about 5 minutes. It is what is considered a "bedroom community".

I have a suggestion, maybe we could all take some pics of the area we live in and post them in our profiles. I would love to see all the places that have already been described!

Want to see my new place HighClere Apts. Council Bluffs Iowa 51503. Google it, I am told this works.

For the area google Omaha, Nebraska or Council Bluffs Iowa. Lots of railroad history here & Henry Doorley Zoo, one of the biggest in the country. Special Air Force museumn, are just a few of the attractions.

Start of the midwestern plains.

I've been going to do that. First I need to transfer the pics from my old computer to this one. Soon.

I live in a small city of about 73,000 people. in east Texas. Contrary to popular beleif east Tx is not desert, it's mostly pine forest and to me very beautiful, especialy after growing up in the desert of west Tx..

I live in a town of 100 ppl, and that is a stretch, in a valley on the western edge of the rocky mtns. My elevation is 7000 feet, and the peaks within a couple miles of me are12000 feet. The saying around here is "We may have missed a few summers, but, we have never missed a winter"laugh
