I don't expect perfection. That's like falling in love with love ~ an image, an illusion ~ not with the actual person.

But...when I find someone special and I see the little flaws if I can look past them and still care about that person ~ THAT has potential!

I agree with you. I met a person and they were very caring, handsome, in great shape, but the one thing that really got under my skin was their insecurity, so it made them brag about everything they did and it was such a turnoff. On top of that, they wouldn't listen to any advice you would give them..for the better..so that just ruined everything. At some point you have to grow up!

Have you ever found someone you thought was perfect, but then there's that one thing that is a deal breaker for you? What was it?

I wouldn't say he was perfect, but he came pretty close to it in my eyes. Then I found out he smoked pot and that was the end of that.

I so hate that. Not like I make it a secret so I don't why so many try to slide it by.

What was really hard for me was dateing a guy I really liked then to find out they had a family member that was going to make life chronically miserable. I have run into everything from an addicted parent, a bum adult child, or completely out of control grandchild. It is just a no win situation.
