I was laid off today...
 At least I was given a severance package until the end of the week and I was told when the company is financially stable again, they would love to have me back.  ...I can't sit here feelin bad for myself because I know the rest of America is in financial hardship but I can't help feeling like I failed somehow.  |

Believe me... it's not YOU who failed... it's your government. For you see, our illustrious leaders have tried to justify their wrong headed "Trickle-down" economic theory (otherwise known as "Reaganomics") for the better part of twenty-five years now, and it's resulted in the corporate elite making more money while the rest of us get the shaft.
And things aren't likely to change with the presence of our new president, either. After all- he represents "status quo" you can believe in. |

She doesn't understand why I can't get my nails and feet done evey two weeks

My first day unemployeed and I got a LOT done!
I have most of the laundry clean and folded, I cleaned the turtle tank, washed the dishes, tried a new Puerto Rican recipe out of a cook book, took out the trash, cleaned the bathrooms, sprayed the weeds, caught up on TIVO programs and I vacuumed my house! LIVIN THE DREAM BABY!
