Dear HEAVENLY FATHER I PRAY to YOU today.
Please keep me safe and well, and out of harms way. Help guide my path to know and feel. Your always with me night and day. Please help me to change all that I feel is bad. Help me to forgive, instead of getting mad. Brighten all my darkest hours, through your GRACE and amazing powers. Allow me to change what needs attention. And see it through to its completion. And LORD Please help take away these clouds of worry, over work and money. Help all my tomorrows be bright and sunny. Help me grow stronger everyday that I live. So that here in this life, I have more to give. In the name of the Father, Son and the holy spirit, AMEN. |

During this time of great need, illness, loss and financial burdens, please let them know that you are there and no burden is too great. When we think about how big our problem is, we need to tell our problem how big our God is. You are an awesome and wonderful God and I love you. Amen |

I've been sad and in tears this morning, and this thread made me smile and picked me up a little. Thanks for posting it. Now, I'll go listen to old country-type gospel songs while I eat breakfast.

A thought and prayer for a friend.
John, I met you about a week after moving to town. You have always been a decent man, even when faced with disparaging situations. Last month you and your wife let it be known to others that you have stage 4 cancer. It hurt me to hear that.  You did the right thing by getting a second opinion. I pray that the Doctors and Surgeons are the best.
Heavenly Father, be with my friend John, his wife Pat, and family, during these extremely trying times that they're going through. If it's time for you to call John home, assure him when he meets you that he'll always be thought of with a smile on his face, and that the person thinking about him will be smiling as well. Also, we will comfort his family as best we, as lay people, can do. I ask this in your name, and in the name of your Son, Jesus. Amen |
