I don't know how helpfull this will be but when I want to take a program
off and it wont uninstall its sometimes because its part of another
program or download and you have to uninstall the other one to get that
one to be removed also....sorry if it wasn't that helpfull.

It was confusing, love..But then, the whole danged thing is confusing..

It is a camera mike program,.. As far as I can tell, it does not share
files, nor is it in other programs..That is what makes it it so hard to
understand..

Thanks for the reply..flowerforyou

I don't know if you've tried this, but sometimes you can find an
uninstall program in the same directory where the program that you'd
like to uninstall is located.

Also, if you installed it from a CD and you still have that CD there
might be an uninstall program on the CD itself.

press ctrl+alt+delete and click the process tab to make sure it isn't
running, cause if its running it won't you delete it. If that doesn't
work, go to start, then run, then type services.msc and see if there is
a service thats linked to the software program that you're trying to
uninstall, right click properties, click disable, then right click
again, and click stop, then proceed to try and uninstall.

If all that doesn't help at all, try what everyone else suggested, if
you're still having problems, check out majorgeeks.com they got pretty
good programs that help you to uninstall stubborn programs that can't be
deleted through the control panel

hope I was of some help

ps, also if you click start, then run, and type msconfig, you can see
what programs autostart just in case there are other things that start
up when you turn on your computer that you don't want to start up.

Here is something that u can try. Go to start, search, all files. Type
in the program that u r trying to uninstall. When all the files appear
that have that title, highlight them and press delete on your keyboard.
That's how I got rid of an old version of Norton that would not
uninstall.

Cheers

it's a pain in the neck those programs...especially because if the file
is still there, there could be reg entries and shared DLLs and who knows
what else still on the system from it.

windows key + R
regedit
check
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

and see if the name is there...if it is, then it usually tells you what
directory the file is...or it will give you the name of the uninstall
program, so you might be able to run it from there instead of the
control panel. If not...you can nuke the directory and hope for the
best.

If I knew more about the program, i could tell you more...

Disclaimer... BE CAREFUL when mucking with the registry unless you know
what you are doing.

You may also try deleting files as follows...Click on Start...Then
choose Control panel...Right click on local disk C...click on
explore...now under folders on left side...click on + to search where
your file is stored... To close click on -...Locate your file and drag
it to the very bottom which is the recycle bin...Just be sure what you
are dumping although you have the option to go back and restore from
recycle bin...

KAPEECH ???

I am glad you have it uninstalled bibby7, but remember that uninstalling
any program can be dangerous because they often take essential dll files
with them and screw up your computer

When a program refuses to uninstall I remove it via the system
registry...just becareful what you delete from the registry, I wouldn't
recommend anyone fooling around in the registry if you're not familiar
with it...you might find yourself formatting if you make a mistake.
