I didn't get my first computer until 2006. That being said...I always went to the store and bought my music. Got a pretty nice collection out of it. Somewhere around 400-500 CD's all original and in the case.
I haven't bought many since I've had my computer.  You can also add your cassette tapes and vinyl if you are hardcore old school.

Hmm..I think I have about 10 cd's. I get bored with them and give them away. There are only about 2 that I'll never in my life give up, cause they are my favorite country singer.

I had a few of my favs stolen...but I was able to replace most of them. Kinda hard to replace THAT many though.  WOW! Wow. I thought I had a lot of CD's. My collection looks pretty weak compared to the rest of you guys. Kudos to all the fellow music lovers who actually contributed money towards record sales, instead of downloading for free.

I just wanted to throw it up there for everyone...because I know a lot of people that have insane number of hours worth of downloaded tunes. |

Thanx, Freek. Yes, MOST unfortunate. Worse, was who ...  Evil. I've still a fare few cassettes, don't count them as they are getting too ancient. My vinyl met the same fate as the cds, but had far less of it left anyway(downsized). They still play in my heart/spirit. Good thing the impressions linger strong ...

It's all good, I wasn't even counting tapes, records, etc., I also have some pretty sweet music dvds, I didn't really start downloading stuff until last year, I almost always buy my music the old fashioned way, but then we lost alot of our awesome music stores here so it just got easier doing iTunes or beatport or Amazon etc. I find a lot of cool stuff in torrents too, some of which I will never see in a store.

I'm not sure exactally how many actual cd's I have but I do know that on my computer I have 33.57gb/5766 songs/17.6 days of music...which would translate into alot of f'ing cds:)
