See, Kojak, I was right! I KNEW you were up to something behind those shades! flowerforyou Good post!

Had to hide the anger, and sometimes tears....

Wow. Anger and even tears over threads in the forums?

I would think that such sensitivity to THIS would preclude one from even being a moderator. Or wanting to be. Is that a paying job and is it worth worrying over? And it's not good to bury anger or pain. Thats how you get heart attacks.

I generally think that people can take care of themselves and since you do have to be 18 to sign up, that they are not babies, and can handle what someone says on here.

I've been attacked a few times for my responses (lack of belief in political correctness over simple truth) but never called Moderator on anyone. Wouldn't even want to know how. If I want to cry, I can turn it off and bask in the reality that most of the people on here are on like 24/7 with apparently nothing else to live for. And I do.

when someone has a disability or is overweight for any reason or born red, blue, yellow, white, black, etc and people attack them you feel their pain and I am not afraid to say get tears in my eyes sometimes.

As for being a moderator, I am human and have emotions and I volunteer willingly to make this site fun for all.

Hiding anger, well the post is much better then it would of been if i posted when i was upset.

Huh, perception is due to perspective!

I read that as Kojak being completely aware of ALL of his feelings, and the shades as shielding US from them until he had the words in season ...

Maybe you want to try another chair?

The lack of respect I have seen over past week makes me sick to my stomach. I can not believe sometimes this is an Adult Site. The childish games, name calling, and belittling of others really pisses me off.

How some of you can sleep at night amazes me.

We are in the middle of war, the biggest economic crisis we have ever seen, and should be compassionate toward one another, YET some think they are better for whatever reason.....

When you can walk in someone Else's shoes and see life as they do, When you are so perfect, that no one compares to your greatness,
When you have no wants, no problems, then you my friend are God.

Until, then learn some manners, show some respect, and compassion for others.

but he started it!!! tears

OK, Well I do understand that. Have not seen it but I do understand that and have zero respect for people who poke fun people...except jerks.

I also don't like people to point out my natural lack of hair! lol
But I'm not stressin' over it.

Its good to have a heart and, in spite of reports otherwise, have a pretty good one myself. In my LIFE, not here, I help people every single day. Those that don't have the means or know-how to help themselves mostly but there are a few rich, ignorant folk that are on my list.

I just don;t know who to believe and who to disbelieve on here. This is not my first site and I've known more than one person online who is begging for any attention they can get, truth or lies. I could write a list of people who are "dying of cancer" who, six months later, are online again with a different name and who are fine.

People get too caught up in this I think. Theres plenty to do for the guy down the street who can't get out to mow his grass or that couple without a way to work to "virtually" help people with typewritten sympathetic statements.

If I were to consider "helping" anyone here, I'd pick the first five people with over 20,000 posts on here and invite them out to eat, go skiiing or sailing..and see the outside world. It's not so bad there.

Listen, I'm perfectly aware that I'm percieved as one of the "jerks" on here by some. And thats fine. I'd REALLY be on the s**tlist if I wrote every time I called BS! lol

But I'm a realist and was born a long time ago. I'm skeptical of a lot that I hear, especially when I hear the same person somewhere else saying something different. And I'm not feeling sorry for anyone who is just lazy, mean or talking out of his/her depth. It's difficult for me to feel sorry for someone who "lost their job" when they're still able to spend 23 hours a day on here. I've lived in NYC, Lincoln Park, NJ, San Fran, Seattle, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas and in my isolated cabin in the middle of nowhere Texas. I just landed at all those places without a bankroll or knowing a soul and always managed to find work...if not immediatley, the internet. And, eventually a friend or two.

Good advice is more useful to someone in need, in pain, or fear than sympathy can ever be. Sometimes it isn't easy to hear. But I've taken a bit myself.

For what it is worth, I for one, don't at all see you as a jerk! You're sometimes maybe such a good marksman, that there is no warning of an incoming bulls-eye, direct hit! Much less to take cover ...

You definitely do NOT sugar coat. That does not define whether or not you have a big heart. More, it is likely part of your game-face protection and genuine honesty.

I SO agree that many seek attention via feigned weakness, or circumstances THEY are creating. There are even syndrome names for it, esp. when it moves into disease and disorder. Some players here, obviously fit that bill.

Think sometimes it takes really tuning in to glean how much REAL trouble/pain the poster is in, to ascertain how MUCH truth they can take. Some are really in WAY over their head, and just need some supportive love and friendship. Or, to be backed away from ...

Not everyone weighs up the consequences on the other end, BEFORE - or after, they press send. Understand my bias, I'm a clinician 30 years now and an admitted, die-hard love child. I may be one of those that ooze too much honey. But, it is organic - it is all the REAL, authentic me. I bring the caretaker everywhere.

Again, I do NOT see you as a jerk. It seems to me, that you are also incredibly authentic to exactly who you are.

I feel exactly the same way. Without empathy, this world would be a dismal place indeed.

Most of your friends will tell you what you want to hear. Your really GOOD friends will tell you what you NEED to hear.
