I don't like this legislation, that a senator or a rep can be re-elected with no limits of how many times. There are old timers in both that should be enjoying their retirement in Florida or somewhere else and there are new comers who just refuse to leave. It's easy to continue to talk about honeymoon and dreams during elections and meanwhile they don't do squat.

I understand your frustration. But consider this: old or new, any and all congressman will do what is good for him personally, and not what is good for the country. This is because there are no checks and balances anymore.

Now, this means that the result will be the same. However, by replacing our senators and congressmen more frequently, we will run greater and greater deficit, because each one of them still needs to fulfill his own goals, so to speak.

It is a lot cheaper to keep one fat dog, than to grow a new puppy every year to become another fat dog, if you are going to allow it to just sleep of the couch and chew up your shoes.
