Ok... let's be honest guys. How do you respond to aggressive women? Do you prefer the typical gender roles or would you like for women to be more assertive when it comes to approaching you? I am pretty assertive when I like a guy and have no problem asking them out. How do men feel about this? Would you prefer her to make the first move or do you want to handle that?

she attacked. i fought back. she won. me too. devil

Semi-agree. The whole learning thing is the reason that I typically date 10-15 yrs older. But I think when it really gets down to it, MOST of us are pretty simple. If you list what you really need, is what you have really too demanding? Most likely not, it's just finding that chemistry

I think it's a little more then that the way i see it. If it was so simple, why do people make it so hard and why are so many poeple on these sites looking for somone. I feel that a lot people don't take the time to actually get to know somone and they will sit there and act stupid and wonder whats wrongohwell

Oh yeah, there are way many more factors that go into it, but at the simplest level that is it. There are dealbreakers for everyone. Physical appearance has quite a bit to do with it, location, lifestyle, kids, etc. I was basically just saying that when most people talk about what they really want, it's characteristics that tons of us have, but finding the one with that amazing chemistry that just clicks and also meets the other prerequisites you have. Am I rambling?

Just keep in mind that when we say "aggressive" or "assertive" women, we DON'T mean "*****y". There IS a difference, you know? laugh

Oh huge difference. I am talking assertive like if I like you and you aren't asking me out, I'm not too shy to ask you. Like Jess said, it is just knowing what you want and how to communicate that, not just flat out taking it. In my head assertive for this situation is a confidence thing a woman has where she isn't afraid to let you know if she's interested

No your not:smile: You did say one thing that stands out the most. Finding that one. Thats the issue everyone seems to be dealing with. Yes there are simple things some can do to please somone, but that just a cheep date to me lol. I don't do cheep dates. Hell, if i can get you thinking a little bit. I might hear something that i needed to be reminded of. So if you want to ramble  go right ahead, i'm all ears sorta speak.

Oh yeah, I'm with you, cheap dates are never worth it besides a time filler. I am not the one to let it go on just so I'm not alone. Like you said finding the one is the thing. I need that incredible chemistry, wild passion, I want it to be one of those situation where I feel like if I pass that one up, my mind will kick my ass. Romantic chemistry that knocks you off of your feet is hard to come by, so I sit and wait! bigsmile

Well look no further laugh Yeah right, i wonder how many times you'll get that onelaugh

I don't know if ill ever find that, but what i do know is, i want settle for less, but at the same time. I will not close my mind to someone if i see there is something there. it's funny how so many people will ask others why are they single and everyone has there own answers. But, what i see. Is a lot of people try to hard to find that one and the funny thing is. Out of 10 people lets say. maybe two will find that one and the rest like you said, will pass somone up. I say i rather be happy, then to try to look for somone that is mostlikely not going to be there.

Very true. I want someone with flaws, a long as they fit me, we are all good. Flaws make life so much more interesting anyways. I think you are right about people looking too hard for that perfect person. There are so many people that would be fabulous matches for us but on our 'list' that we all know we have, they miss one mark. Everyone has their dealbreakers, which need to be held onto, but the other variables are just that, variable. They can change, get moved around, down the list, out the window. Some people may say that's settling but I can't discount someone because they are an inch out of my preference range. You know? So yeah. Maybe one day.... until then, I will mingle away!
