Topic: D.C. Council Votes to Recognize Other States' Gay Marriages | |

Actually war I know you don't mean in general, I hope cuz I have met some pretty hard core gun folks up here, and they don't have a problem with gays wanting to marry. Something I was quite suprised by frankly. Though I also know that there are some hard core gun owners that do but they also tend not to be all that friendly to anyone they consider different. It could have something to do with the area you live in? Either way, that's a good thing. Hey when the first neighbor you meet tells you that there are no blacks allowed in this town, you know that your not in LA.. LOL I never thought I would move to a small town but here I am. Nope, not a Generalization, but a example that I drew from my own personal experiences. General statements are ignorant. I simply meant to draw a line from one type of tyranny to another, I probably should have drawn that line a little bolder, as it does seem like I'm blaming gun owners for gay folks having their rights violated. What I mean is that some are virulently antigay (the ones I've met are most, but then again, Kansas...). Let me put it this way, whenever a group is standing up for one set of rights and another group is standing up for a seperate set of rights, both groups, whether they like it or not, are fighting the same machine. Until we get a grip on what freedom and liberty means and stand up collectively for the rights of all, we will continue our totalitarian tiptoe towards 3rd world status. |
