What are your Easter plans this weekend? I am having a huge Easter dinner for my entire family. My kids are much older so we don't do the easter egg hunt thing anymore. However I plan on getting the yard and patio all spruced up for spring and grill out this weekend also. Maybe even get a little shopping in. I am making my sisters 3 kids an Easter basket and I bought them the cutest Easter outfits. They will look so darn cute. So what are your plans--with family or going it alone.

Well only 16 year old isthe only one home now so I made a BIG basket for her

I lay out a buffet table of desserts so my family and friends can pick all day

This year my 22 year old and son in law are having dinner at their home

Sit back and enjoy not having to cook for a change and maybe she is just trying to impress you with her cooking skills.flowerforyou

I remember trying to impress my mother-in-law and she kept getting in my way. I had a tiny kitchen at the time but she was doing every dish behind me. I just wanted her to sit back and enjoy not having to be in a kitchen.

In the morning I have easter baskets for my kids. Its fun to watch them wake up and freak out over the Easter Bunny surprises. LOL. Then early afternoon my entire family gets together (aunts, uncles, cousins, some friends) at my mom's and we have a huge cookout, and an egg hunt for the kids in the family.

My daughters are 16 and 19 and I still make them Easter baskets. I put candy in them and perfume, earrings, keychains, cups with peace signs and stuff like that. They always appreciate everything that I do for them. They both got me Easter baskets filled to the brim with candy. I brought them in to share with my kids at school.

I thoroughly enjoy the expression on my kids face when they wake up Christmas morning or Easter morning and get that surprise. It's amazing. I remember how excited I got to talk to Santa when I was little and I would never take that experience away from my kids!!!
