I tried to fantasie abot extremisim for a second, and all I got was a vision of that 18 and counting family.
 Why must they ruin everything?

I ask for we see how it can actually destroy lives and idealogies. Could there have been acts of extremesim that helped mankind in our long history thus far? Can you recall any at the moment or care to research on it? Will extremism in the end save mankind? What are your thoughts on this topic? What If. The world's population exploded and at 20 billion the Earth was no longer able to support life as we know it. The climate became so unstable that crops could no longer grow and all major lifeforms were in danger. Governments fell and anarchy ruled the world. People ate people. A group of extremists developed a weaponized version of the flu that killed 99% of those infected. They used the weapon and reduced the human population to a point were the Earth could recover. Mankind progressed and did not make the same mistakes. Would the extremists be known as the greatest saviors in history or the greatest villians? |

I would say it depends who is inflicted with the situation. The people who lost friends and family through this new weapon would call them villians and the people who haven't been inflicted and live comfortable lives would perhaps call them heroes. It is hard to say. I think killing in general isn't a great solution, but perhaps in this situation it would be the only way to save mankind. I hope such novels and books would be written in the future more often to have those in power read them and find new innovations to prevent and tackle such important issues such as how to stabilize the world population, to prevent food and fresh water depletion, decrease pollution, etc. etc. Somehow it seems like not much is being done or better said not enough is being done to tackle the real issues this planet is facing. This was a good example of extremism and scary one at that. Thanks for sharing that metalwing  |
