Jess642,

Because I KNOW what I said! That's how. Is that clear? I have no idea
what you think or feel, but I DO know what I have said. Do you guys
EVER think before you post? Why would it seem more reasonable to you
that I was saying "I can read Jess642's mind" than "I know what I have
posted."

You wrote spider...

"You know that I didn't tell him to "not post about christianity", so
you suggest that I did it in other threads."

PLEASE NOTE THE FIRST TWO WORDS "You know"

So far you have insulted ne in a dismissing manner stating I would make
a good wife for a husband who was unfaithful.

You have insinuated I dont know how to read.

All you need to do is apologise for being an ass crawl back under the
rock from whence you came....and you may redeem a scrap of dignity.

SpiderCMB replied:

The only way you could know something I said is if I said it. If I
never said it, you couldn't know it. Unless you are now defending
yourself by saying "I was mistaken in my attack on you", in which case I
didn't know what you were thinking and ironically enough, neither did
you.

P.S. I'm still waiting for those posts that I made asking
AdventureBegins to not post.

I understand where you are comming from.

Please understand where I am comming from.
Perhaps I should have said all things that have sprung from the
manifistation of Christ.

but that is just a fancy way of saying christian.

I have a deep faith in the dispensation of Christ. Deep enough that I
need not the words of the men who followed him to believe in his
message.

It is after all his message. The religion that was built around his
ministry was built by men.

It is not called Timothyianity nor Johnianity it is called Christianity.

The words of the disciples are but the words of men and fraught with the
misunderstandings of men. I do not need their words to have faith in
the rock they built upon.

Nor do I need their buildings made of the tools of man to believe in the
one who is the rock upon which those buildings stand.

I believe not because of those words...
But because I believe in his message.

AB provided them.

Or is it you who cannot read?

This has become so laughable...and there for all to read...once again
you show yourself, narrow minded, bigoted, a False Christian hiding
behind a book hoping to justify your arse off with whatever scrap of
quotation you can find.

Practise what you attempt to preach.

Now Spider, could you put that in readable English?????????

1) Already addressed that, see "Illustrating absurdity with absurdity".
I was showing you how absurd your interpretation of scripture was.

2) No, I insinutated that you choose not to. Big difference. One
indicates ignorance and the other indifference. Personally, I would
rather be ignorant than idifferent.

3) I wasn't an ass. You have choosen to glance at my posts without
attempting to understand what I was saying.

P.S. Still waiting on those quotes.

Ok you want the whole quote...

AdventureBegins,

First, I would ask you to not make statements of what Christiansbelieve.
The reason for this is that you are not a Christian andtherefore you
have no place making those statements. I only make
statements about my own religion, I don't try to make statements about
others religions or lack thereof.

AdventureBegins,

Could I suggest another word to describe yourself? Christ-follower.
Christian was originally a derogetory name that was used to insult
anyone who followed Jesus. We suffered through years of persecution and
that name was bought with the blood of people who loved the Word of God.
Christ-follower would distinguish you from Christians (who believe in
the Word), while still stating your faith in Christ.

Jess642,

I have quoted that myself several times. I think AdventureBegins now
understand that his use of "Christian" in describing his faith caused
the confusion. I think he would even agree with me that one should only
make statements of one's own faith, not others.

Also, that's not from another thread, it's from Page 2 of this thread.

So apologise for insulting me, and attempting to diminish me, and I will
consider retracting the words from other threads...

and I mean apologise, not justify.

As I was speaking about my faith in christ I used the word christian.

It did not cause confusion to anyone but you.

Please do not put words in my mouth as I will continue to use the word
christian when discussing my faith in christ.

You have been rude to me me several times over the last week as my
statements have been of a nature that you could no repudiate nor find an
appropriate quote to destroy. Quotes from the sword of sharpness that
is said to be within the word can not harm me for I am sheltered within
the garment of the glory of god.

I still feel that you have a brilliant mind. Please use it to find that
which will ease your spirit.

If you actually read what I have said, I don't believe you would find me
to be narrow minded or bigotted. You read my posts with the most closed
mind possible, thus innoculating yourself from any truth that I might
post. You either know that I haven't insulted you or you haven't read
all of my posts. You have writen the same misinterpretation of a post I
made several times. I have explained what I said. I WAS BEING
INTENTIONALLY ABSURD! It's an accepted rhetorical device.

Not acceptable.

Rude, arrogant and personally defammatory.

Apologise.

To a living, breathing, human being.

Me.

To your knowledge. The majority of people who read forums don't post,
they are called "lurkers".

If I can't convince you to not use the word "Christian" to describe
yourself, so be it. I don't feel that it is honest, but that's your
perogitive.

Does that answer it for you? You stated "I will continue to use the

You said "Christian" and then you explained that you were talking about
your own beliefs in Christ. Now you are claiming you never did! In all
honesty, are you high? I'm not a narc, I would just like to know.
