Oh Tina it absolutely is. If you can't laugh at yourself and others life is a very sad place. Laughing in general just lifts the spirits and I love to laugh.

What is this happy long term relationship you speak of? good question Mitch I'm only asking because the OP was, for me, putting the cart before the horse. I'd have to have a happy long term relationship before I knew if humor was an essential part. Since I've never had a happy long term relationship I can only guess.... If I did guess it would be "of course."
