someone sent this to me

Pass this on to anyone who likes sitting out in the evening or when
they're having a cook out.

So you don't like those pesky mosquitoes, especially now that they have
the potential to carry the West Nile Virus?

Here's a tip that was given at a recent gardening forum:
Put some water in a white dinner plate and add a couple drops of Lemon
Fresh Joy dish
detergent. Set the dish on your porch, patio, or other outdoor area.
Not sure what attracts them, the lemon smell, the white plate color, or
what,
but mosquitoes flock to it, and drop dead shortly after drinking the
Lemon Fresh Joy/water mixture, and usually within about 10 feet of the
plate.

Check this out---it works just super! May seem trivial, but it may help
control mosquitoes around your home, or cottage, especially in the South
and elsewhere where the West Nile virus is reaching epidemic proportions
in mosquitoes, birds, and humans.

I wonder if it can be used on your skin? Mosquitos plot and map me out
for a target, it seems.

What is the West Nile Virus?

Is it like Brahma Forest, Ross River, and also Dengue fever?

These others are carried by mosquitos, and are common here in the sub
tropics..

I am just curious if you know, Davinci..

It must be in the detergent... because that same solution of water and
lemon fresh joy is used to water plants in nursery's . It is said to be
the best pesticide. Keeps all the bugs off and keeps the plants
shiny...Who knew!

I would assume plain lemon juice would work? Or anything with citrus.
Citronella repels mosquitos, so...?

Jesse, can I add to the list: yellow fever, malaria, heartworms (dogs,
cats). We have mosquitoes as big as dogs down here, not to be outdone
by the roaches! I'm gonna used Off, as usual.

it also works for fleas...put some in a dish and set it underneath a
night-light...

i don't worry about mosquitoes, they don't bite me anyway.

I usually buy Off or Cutter, but it's so damned expensive!!
