Alright, this is a post for guys. I want to hear some guy opinions and we don't need flaming from the masses, nothing constructive to say on the subject then keep your keyboard shut...
now I was just wondering if anyone else found it weird. I've been noticing it for quite a while and never really pointed it out to anyone. If you browse through the profiles of women on here, about 99% of them (BS made up statistic, just sayin) talk about how much they LOVE the outdoors, they LOVE sports, and they LOVE traveling... I don't know about anyone else, but I've met very few people who go traveling as a hobbie. Maybe it's just me and I think traveling is somewhere out of the country and not an activity that happens all that often (which I would expect your favorite activities to be things that you do often), but I dunno. Just seems kind of funny that so many say it. Same thing with the outdoors thing. I live in Louisiana now and every girl I meet tells me how much they love to go camping, hiking, biking, etc, they just love being outdoors. Then I date them for a couple months and the closest they ever get to the outdoors is their driveway. They talk about they love fishing and you ask them "where's a good spot" and they just look at you blank, like their a deer about to get hit by a car. Then they say they want Honesty!!! LOL This is just a general rant ladies, not directed at anyone in particular, just stirring the pot a little bit. Let me know what y'all think about this. |

ok I will fish and have.......but watch out for the obnoxious chinese languages I make up catching them.......ya strange but true.
I will camp.......but where the hell is the plug ins???? Dooooood this is hair is crazy town yanno??  what is hiking anyways????? walking around in the forrest? I can do that. Do I do it often? Noooooooooo.......I freaking work all the time!!

i think i like long walks on the beach, (romantic hopefully) running through the woods and grassy fields full of fresh blooming daisy... romantic nightly strolls through parks right when the sun is going down and errr mmmmm VIDEO GAMES!!

Forgot all about the walks on the beach. But at least that one isn't on every other profile!

Hey bro I think you are going about this the wrong way. People say they enjoy a lot of things. However, simply because they enjoy them doesn't mean they are hard core fanatics about it. For instance, I like camping but I only go maybe once or twice a year, if that. I like fishing but I don't own a fishing rod nor do I know of any spots to fish at other than the familiar piers at the beach. The point I'm trying to make is that people can enjoy various things. They don't necessarily have to do those things regularly to appreciate them. Every once in a while can be fun too. Just take it easy and, tell you what, if you really want to go camping or fishing with them then why don't you set up a date to go and do those things with them and have some one on one time
 .

I was thinking more along the lines of just saying it for the attention, but could be right.... hmm...
My other theory was that maybe women look at hobbies different. Maybe a hobbie to them is something that they did once or twice. Yes/No/Maybe? |

Hey bro I think you are going about this the wrong way. People say they enjoy a lot of things. However, simply because they enjoy them doesn't mean they are hard core fanatics about it. For instance, I like camping but I only go maybe once or twice a year, if that. I like fishing but I don't own a fishing rod nor do I know of any spots to fish at other than the familiar piers at the beach. The point I'm trying to make is that people can enjoy various things. They don't necessarily have to do those things regularly to appreciate them. Every once in a while can be fun too. Just take it easy and, tell you what, if you really want to go camping or fishing with them then why don't you set up a date to go and do those things with them and have some one on one time . Personally I don't care if they do them or not. Doesn't bother me one bit. My point is how frequently they show up in "interests" on a profile or the first time you meet someone and how infrequently they are done. I don't know anyone who camps more than once or twice a year at the most unless their retired (couple friends). But if the last time you went camping was when you were seven.... that's when I raise and eyebrow. |
