Miles,
I find 28 references to "Cross" in the Bible, in reference to Jesus and his message. I find 3 references to "Tree" in the Bible, in reference to Jesus. The interesting thing is that the word used is "xulon", which is Greek for "Wood", but it's sometimes used to mean "tree". A cross would be made out of wood, so I believe it's probable that the translation was just done incorrectly. Let me ask you a question, are you a JW? |

no way am i a JW. if you look up the 2nd 1/2 of Je-hovah it will show
you that hovah means rebel mischief and as the scriptures say don't even let it be on your tongue. Do you or would you worship someone whose name means mischief? Miles |

Milesoftheusa,
No, I was just asking the question, because part of JW beliefs is that Jesus was crucified on a tree. I don't use the word Jehovah, if I wanted to, I would just use Yahweh instead. |

Jehovah is a mistranslation of the word used to describe the name of
god. It was used in various ways at different times in history. 1530 & later: The first early modern English Bible translators to transcribe God's name into English did not contact Jewish scholars, and did not know of the Q're perpetuum custom, but transcribed "יְהֹוָה" into English as they saw it. It therefore became Iehouah in 1530 (Tyndale's translation of the Pentateuch), Iehovah in 1611, and Jehovah in 1769, the spelling gradually settling down as Roman alphabet J and V became distinct letters from I and U. The transcription Iehouah was used in the 16th century by many authors Roman Catholic and Protestant, but not Coverdale's Bible translation in 1535. [5] Even the use of Yahwae as the name of god is disputed. In the P. Ryl. 458 (perhaps the oldest extant Septuagint manuscript) there are blank spaces ,leading some scholars to believe that the Tetragrammaton must have been written where these breaks or blank spaces are.[18] Josephus, who as a priest knew the pronunciation of the name, declares that religion forbids him to divulge it. Philo calls it ineffable, and says that it is lawful for those only whose ears and tongues are purified by wisdom to hear and utter it in a holy place (that is, for priests in the Temple); and in another passage, commenting on Lev. xxiv. 15 seq.: "If any one, I do not say should blaspheme against the Lord of men and gods, but should even dare to utter his name unseasonably, let him expect the penalty of death." [19] Desire to prevent abuse of the name in magic. If so, the secrecy had the opposite effect; the name of the god of the Jews was one of the great names, in magic, heathen as well as Jewish, and miraculous efficacy was attributed to the mere utterance of it. |

The letter j was not in any language untill around the end of the
1400's. The hebrew word associated with hovah is the meaning mischief. I do not believe Yahweh (YHWH which is in the hebrew scriptures 6900 times as LORD for YHWH) the name being of great importance. To intentionally use a false name is breaking of the 3rd commandment. the word vain means to bring to (desolation, meaningless of no importance) of which our scriptures have done. Ministers know the real names and yet choose to use false name which makes them a false diety (anti-messiah) in which we are commanded not to have on our lips. The 3rd commandment is the only command that says he will not hold him guiltless which would mean sinless. The name Yahshua is the true Hebrew saviors name meaning Yahweh is salvation. Yahweh is the only one who saves. He declares consistantly "Everyone who calls on the name of Yahweh (YHWH) shall be saved. Hence our saviors name Yahshua. As acts 4:12 tells us no other name can man be saved. going on Yahshua said that sins against him would be forgiven but sins against the Holy Spirit would not. This agrees with the 3rd commandment of not " holding you guiltless." In Heb. 4:8 the translators got mixed up when translating the name. Joshua the son of nun had the same name as he lead Isreal into the promice land as Yahshua leads us. Yet they had no problem using joshua the son of nun but dilibertly substatuted JC for Yahshua. notice for hundreds of years untill the last 40 years or so what this scripture said... Heb 4:8 8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. KJV now the correction... Heb 4:8 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. NKJV This is correct Joshua the son of nun could not give them rest. Any scholar through out history would of known this. What does this mean. That Yahshua was used through out the New Testament and they deliberately took it out. As mentioned above of the Jews thinking of if we do not use it then we can not blaspheme it. Yet the christians have not wanted anything to do with the Jews and many today don't still. So if you read the 1st 3 commandments of what Yahweh says about his name then using a false name you are blaspheming the name. Since the scriptures say that you are the temple of Yahweh now since the Holy spirit has come I conclude you are blaspheming the Holy Spirit. And your sins will not be forgiven. JC is the one fortold by Yahshua himself that you would believe. John 5:43 43 I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. NKJV JC has come in his own name. names do not change. If you were born John or mark in the USA then your name transliterates in any language as the same sounds in that language. Yahshua said of moses and John.. John 5:36-47 6 But I have a greater witness than John's; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish — the very works that I do — bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me. 37 And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. 38 But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. 39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. 41 "I do not receive honor from men. 42 But I know you, that you do not have the love of Yahweh in you. 43 I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. 44 How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only Elohim? 45 Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you — Moses, in whom you trust. 46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?" NKJV Very true words today as the Law you have done away. Mal 3:16-18 Then those who feared Yahweh spoke to one another, And Yahweh listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear Yahweh And who meditate on His name. 17 "They shall be Mine," says Yahweh of hosts, "On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him." 18 Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves Elohim. And one who does not serve Him. NKJV And again as John was a for runner to prepare the way before Yahshua began his ministry the scriptures tell us ALL things must be restored before he returns again with vengence. Mal 4:1-3 "For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up," Says Yahweh of hosts, "That will leave them neither root nor branch. 2 But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. 3 You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this," Says Yahweh of hosts. NKJV Then just look at his mercy to you that he tells you directly what to remember just as Yahshua said.. Mal 4:4-5 4 "Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, With the statutes and judgments. 5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of YAHWEH. NKJV What a blessing that he tells us plainly what to remember. The Question is will you believe it or will you hold on to your tradition and make the Torah ( the 5 books of moshe) something done away with calling people legalists, cultist, and other names for standing up for the word of Yahweh. The choice is yours Repent of your sins and recongonize that you and the whole world has been lied to. Or go on your way and fullfill the lies of satan/helel. You know Elijah must come but his real name is EliYah meaning My Elohim Is Yahweh will be his message. Don't believe me believe the scriptures and see if you have eternal life for yourself. Miles |

Yes and without going deep into the vowels points I will just say that the vowel points determine the sound in hebrew. But YHWH is where LORD came from in our bible. Note the capitol letters for LORD to let the reader know this is Yahweh. Many bible prefaces have this in them explaining it. Now I know and I do not condemn as I can not or will not those who refuse to believe. but if your therory is he knows what we mean and you can call Yahweh another name. then I will leave you with this.. 1 John 4:1-7 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of Yahweh; because many false prophets have gone out into the world . 2 By this you know the Spirit of Yahweh: Every spirit that confesses that Yahshua our Messiah has come in the flesh is of Yahweh, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Yahshua has come in the flesh is not of Yahweh. And this is the spirit of the Antimessiah, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world . 4 You are of Yahweh, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world . 5 They are of the world . Therefore they speak as of the world , and the world hears them. 6 We are of Yahweh. He who knows Yahweh hears us; he who is not of Yahweh does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. NKJV 1 John 5:1-5 Whoever believes that Yahshua is the Messiah is born of Yahweh, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Yahweh and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of Yahweh, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For whatever is born of Yahweh overcomes the world . And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world , but he who believes that Yahshua is the Son of Yahweh? NKJV Are you keeping the commandments of men or the commandments of Yahweh? Miles |
