Joy, the funny thing about this sort of thing....is the men who usually come back with something like that, say it just after they realize we don't want to date THEM. I've had that happen. I was met with "Okay..fine, then be alone the rest of your life".

that you push people away? Even if you don't realize you're doing it, do you wonder if it's true and ask yourself why? |

Along with another person being too involved in their career.. Some want their partner to take their job as just that a job, but a career is different and you give differently... Some people can't handle a partner that is on call 24/7/365, even if being on call doesn't mean they're actually called that much... True again. They should be glad there IS a job and the person is willing to get up and go to work every day!! |

I'm accused of 1) working too much 2) pushing people away 3) not making the time... I'm sure there are others but that's at the forefront of my mind...

Well, it's a busy time. Economy is bad. People have to do what they have to in order to have the job and to keep it. I still maintain that the primary ones that say that, are just upset you don't Want to make the time for THEM.

I think you have a point Connie.. I know that I'm fortunate to have a job but I don't work any more b/c of the economy, this is just how it is and I work long hours and have an office in India so I'm almost always working in some way or another...

This not wanting to talk to him any more came about because of the information that he is a Tier 1 registered sex offender. Gee, and he couldn't see why I didn't want to get to know him better? |

Well, my husband worked really long hours. Left here before 6 a.m. NEVER left the office until 6 p.m. He adored his job. But we make the time for the important things. Could it be, that just the one that might make you ponder backing off some hours just hasn't come along yet? Or, that the right one that can and will work with your time frames, just hasn't come along yet? |

I don't like hearing "if you cared enough you would" I can't, what I do is what I do.. I love what I do and even if it was my own company I'd be doing the same... g'night (((Vincent))) |
