Need some feedback on cell phones and service company.


Im gonna change from my current phone and plan to either TMobile or ATTor Verizon.The phones I am looking at are either a blackberry,a sidekick,a Samsung gravity or Samsung Comeback.


Anybody have any suggestions or advice on whats perhaps the best phone,service company ???


The main uses will be phone,texting,online availibility and camera.


Give me whatcha got for suggestions and advice and Ill hope for the best.

Myss I have used AT&T for 25 yrs. There are cheaper plans but for me throughout my travels it's proven to be the best ! I have watched a lot of my compatriots switch from one to the next and never be happy.JMO!

Just don't go with Sprint, which sucks. I'm with Nextel -which got bought out by Sprint a couple of years ago- and I can pretty much tell you that the service has gone down tremendously ever since. The coverage sucks, the customer service is atrocious, and Sprint/Nextel has the distinction of being one of the few companies who seem to care LESS about the protection of their members' personal information than their members do, as well.

Go with either AT&T Wireless or Verizon, instead.

Ummm...Moof, sounds like you should go blow up Sprint/Nextel there buddy.


What cell phone do you have though ? What about TMobile ??

Verizon has always treated me very well. When I divorced and had to separate the lines, I called up customer service and spoke with a very nice guy who worked it all out for me. He also gave me 2 new free phones in the deal (newer styles even). I've had a cell phone with them since the days of the old bag phones.

The only beef I ever had with Verizon is their rebate deals. I wish they would just take the money off the top instead of making you jump through rebate hoops. Now they use an outside company to do their rebates and you can't even get Verizon to credit you if they lose the stuff you have to send in. I just pretty much count on not getting my rebate and if I do, it's a nice surprise.

Plus through my work I get 20% off my bill now. Bonus!

I was not a fan of Verizon. They messed up my billing more than a few times and customer service was difficult to deal with. I switched to AT&T and have been with them for a few years. I'm very happy with AT&T.

Really? I have found their customer service to be better than average. Maybe it's your region.

They've had really bad customer service. I'll never recommend them or go back to them.

I think cell phone usage also depends on where you live. In my region of Ohio it's the main carrier that people use. Used to be nextel, but the new trend is Verizon. I really don't know anybody close to me that has anything else. Every time I have needed to call customer service for a dispute on the bill, they have taken the charge away no questions asked.

Ive heard really good things about TMobile from coworkers and my brother.


But I wanted other people's pros and cons as well.



Also, anybody have a preference for blackberry instead of the sidekick ???

I have had TMobile for 8 years. I wouldn't change at all.

One of my friends at work has had them for 9/10 yrs...she is very happy as well.


May I ask what type of phone you have ???

I have the G1 with T-Mobile and absolutely love it. It is real close to the Iphone!!!

Eat the ribs ....no problem.

Nice phone there...the Dash,Gravity and the new Comeback are what Im looking at.
