Hi, I am new to this site. I have passed the 60 year mark (heavy sigh)and have a question for anyone in the same situation. The interests remain the same and nothing seems to have changed except the age number. Many have told me age is just a number and I guess that's true but it's getting to be a big one! I wonder if anyone has an opinion on this. Does a single 61 year old guy get pretty much ignored by the single female population? I don't think so but I am interested in any comments. Thanks Ron

Hi, How ya doing. Welcome to M2!
I'm not sure how to answer you question about men 60 and over being ignored. I'm 62 and have some good friends here on M2. You need to post a recent picture, that'll help. We have a great Christian forum here. Come join us on Topicless in the over 50 forum. We have a lot of fun there and there are many good folks on it. Just remember to post alot anywhere you feel comfortable. Let us all get to know you and you us.
Good luck to you!

Hi vivian! The thing about women ignoring men 60+ was something a friend mentioned to me on my birthday. I think she was just playing.
The thought made me wonder about that so I posted it to see different opinions. We'll see what happens. Nice to meet you...Ron

I'm always looking for a guy in his 60's.. looking for someone to be in my life but it seems most guys that age group want younger women.. beats me!! Lots of nice people here, enjoy... Carole

Wheel, welcome to the family.

In answer to your question; I was married to a lady 7 yrs older than myself & how to push to keep up with her. I think age really is just a #, if you act old.....YOU ARE. I have dated ladies 60+, some acted their age & thus were old & others I had a hard time keeping up with.

Big thing life has taught me, if you set down & act old, you are & death will catch up with you. Moving targets are harder to hit, keep moving, you will find people of a like mind.

I always "enjoy life, it is later than you think."

Also, make life what YOU want, because it is YOUR LIFE.

Doen't waste it.

Opinion of a "grumpy old sage."grumble pitchfork

It seems everyone is so spread out. I wish I had a Leer jet or at least frequent flyer miles!

Not a chance, Ron. I've been contacted by many guys in their fifties, and a few even below that. But a man's not really "well seasoned" until he gets into his sixties, in my opinion. Hope you'll get some interest from somebody in your area. As said above, geography is a constraint that often buries a mutual interest.

Good Luck!

well, i'm a 61-year-old female who feels the same as you just stated. inside i feel around 40ish, but outside i'm judged by the extra wrinkles and the grey hair streaks. i'm still the fun-loving adventuresome woman i've always been; people seem to look past me instead of at me. oh well, some days you get the chicken and some days you get the >>>>>! good luck with your search.
