Topic: As The Sun Goes Down

On a warm summer's night,
As the sun is dipping low,
I ride up to the rim
To catch the nighttime show.
The shadows grow long
And darkness soon will be.
I close my eyes and listen
To the sounds I cannot see.
The eagle screams
As he prepares to settle down.
The coyote howls a different tune,
A crooning lament for his prey.
The nighthawks are coming to life
After sleeping through the day.
Down by the creek,
Bullfrogs and crickets
Chirp their lullaby to the sun.
I don’t know much about this old world
But when the day is done
I can promise you this,
If you close your eyes,
Open your ears,
And listen to the world,
As the sun goes down.

Are you uncle kracker?
Here's the skinny on that, I'm thinkin' you're referring to "When the Sun Goes Down" by Kenny Chesney featuring Matthew Shafer, AKA Uncle Kracker. Beyond the name, hmmmm, not seeing a whole lot of resemblance to this write. That is a good song though.

Meanwhile, up on the rim, nice write ma!
