Child predator gets 20 years for sex with Oregon teen
02:19 PM PDT on Thursday, October 22, 2009 Associated Press PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- A Southern California man has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison after meeting a 14-year-old girl on a cell phone social networking service and using a phone to make a video recording of sex with her. Julius Xavier Hexon was convicted in July of producing child pornography and possessing it, along with interstate travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor. kgw.com graphic The 45-year-old Hexon had moved from the Los Angeles area to the Portland area in 2007 to be near his victim, just months before his arrest. A federal judge said that even though the girl claimed she was a willing participant in a relationship that lasted two years, she was underage so Hexon was responsible under the law for his actions. |
