I recently meet a friend for coffee at Starbucks... as a coffee lover but usually against the whole expensive coffee thing, the environment was wonderful. We sat and talked for HOURS!!!, While most of you might want a bit more action... I, on the other hand, like to get to know someone before I act a plum fool in public... haha... but I find the conversations stimulating and getting to know someone is priceless. Bar scenes?, well, I love a good dance or a karaoke session since I am better at singing than dancing, but I want to get to know my friends a bit more before hand... Chit Chat always welcome...

I've never really considered them to be expensive, just average priced for store bought coffee. I used to work in a bookstore and I was one of the few employees who wanted to be cross-trained to work in the cafe. I loved it, making the coffee, preparing the baked goods to be sold......and sometimes my dinner was a large chocolate caramel latte with whipped cream....
