Any one will to share current experiences with God?

I would like to learn how each of us is effected by our Faith.

perhaps there is some common ground?

does it have to be a positive experience?
i was a very spiritual person until i had an accident, i felt as if i
had been abandoned and now i'm struggling with my faith. i'd love to
know if anyone else has had the same experience. I want my faith back!
sad

This is not meant to be offensive but...

Did you cause the accident or did someone else?

Did you learn anything from it?

Did anyone else around you learn something from it?

i didnt cause the accident, i was hit my a drunk driver that nearly
killed my kids and i. but i wonder every day if maybe i ever did
anything to deserve it.
i think about what i could, if there is anything to, learn from it, it
was a random act.
the 'anyone else' part is interesting, because yes- i think perhaps it
was a wake up call for the (at the time) boyfriend, who was a serious
drinker.
still unfair.

My apologies.

But you know that God did not do this. He may in fact of saved your
life.

That drunk driver caused it by their unhealthy choices.

I am truly sorry you had this happen to you.

i never thought god caused this- but im not real sure at this point that
god can cause anything or even save anything, you know? like we are all
on our own- at the whim of everyone elses bad choices. it scares me,
thats all.
i hope i learn to get over this feeling, cause it sucks- but thanks for
listening!

What ever happens, it is meant to be, and it is leading somewhere, even
if you don't know where yet. Everything happens for a reason, maybe it
was to show you your doubts? Or your then boyfriend his weakness?
Don't ask why, it will reveal itself to you.flowerforyou

did u ever think it may have been a test of faith. to see if u wouldn't
back down at the slightest sight of adversity?

I think we test our own faith.

God has no need to test us. He might just be there to give us strength
and guidance during those times when we test ourselves.

I experience God everyday when I wake up.
Just the fact of being alive for a brand new day it's a miracle.
As simple as that.

My current experiences with God is finding what I am really made of
under fire. I was listening to an old song by Frank Sinatra last night
called I did it my way. In the song it has the words that he never
kneeled through it all by doing it his way. I could never do that. I
kneeled plenty of times. Sometimes when dealing with the rage of
residents when they in the dementia I just have to turned it over to
God. Like here it is God. You deal with it. I can't handle it. When
dealing with people who are in a lot of pain one can feel the anger like
heat coming off them. The dementia is like this demon from hell or this
anger transference that comes out of them into me. It is like an evil
spirit. Anger is a natural or normal thing that humans have. The trick
is what one does with it. The biblical text of get angry but sin not can
become a real challenge. A friend helped me with it last night who told
me had to go to therapy to learn how to deal with her angry. Don't get
angry doesn't work for me always but in dealing with another's anger is
something that I am working on now. I heard one stockbroker put it as,
"You have to keep your own head while everybody else is losing theirs."

My current experience with god has made me doubt wether he really gives
a darn. I feel as though he's sitting up on his throne laughing his head
off at our puny attempts to make our lives work. Just my opinion at this
point in time feel free to ignore God does.LOL
