It had begun
Simple and insignificant
Like all the days prior.
I spent each day
With a vague and fading hope
One day, yes, one day
Things will be different;
Yet until that sunrise
I’d find myself rotting away
Underneath the silver moon
Still searching, still wanting
Wanting to simply find meaning
In a life that remains unexplained
Disappointment is all that lies beside me
As I remain forever in the blackness
A cesspool within my own loneliness
Although, I never seem to feel His presence
I still pray for that one day
When we can be reunited

I will press on and endure
You’d expect nothing less
I will try to exceed your expectations
Still recalling the pride you felt
‘Yeah, well guess what Mickey did?’
I smile, still remembering how you bragged
You were my guiding light
A solid rock to stand on
When I felt like there was no other…

When nothing held meaning anymore…

You helped me become the man
That some people adore these days
Both my strength and resolve

I am amazed at the sequence of numbers and how they remained the same throughout his life, from birth, then his lifes journey then to his leaving the earth plane...11/16...
