The other teams thought that it was going to be a gradual change into
the COT so they didn't take it as seriously as Hendricks did at
first. You will see more of what happened this week with DEI winning the
race. The other teams have caught up already quite a bit and they all
are getting the 7 post shakers which only Hendricks had at the start.
Things will be much tighter from now on.

Iuono.

It WAS only ONE race. Nothing was really proved. Plus it was Dover.
Haha. I don't like Dover that much. Its like Pocono, long green runs.

HAH!!!! BUT I'M GOING TO POCONO IN 3 DAYS!!! Lol.

Hendrick is still beating everyone's butts. I need proof that others
have caught up. Jimmie had a good car if it wasn't for blowing that
dang tire. But I'm over it.

Heather.. if you have ever even been in a go-cart on a track, you would
feel differently about it. You are racing the other cars and trying to
beat them any way you can do it. It is a very physically demanding sport
and there is a whole lot to it that an outside person looking in does
not see or understand. Sure, it looks boring to the person that flicks
on the TV and sees the little cars going around in a circle. That type
of person wants instant gratification by laying there and expecting
someone to give them an orgasm! That's as far as you took it and I am
sorry that you never got to experience the thrill of racing. Go to the
Richard Petty's Driving Experience and take a few laps at 180 mph and 6
inches from hitting the wall. I think that you will look at racing in a
whole different light.

eff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr., racing together as teammates -- it's
a powerhouse combination of megawatt marketability that could become
reality at Hendrick Motorsports as soon as Wednesday.

Earnhardt has scheduled an 11 a.m. ET news conference at his JR
Motorsports shop in Mooresville, N.C., during which he will announce his
plans for next season, according to a team spokesman. Sources have
indicated to NASCAR.COM that those plans center on Hendrick Motorsports,
the most successful organization in Nextel Cup this season, with 10 race
victories in 14 starts.

I feel that this is not good for NASCAR. If Jr. goes to Hendricks it
will be even worse with the loppsided amount of wins mostly going to the
Hendricks organization. It's a good move for Jr. however that wants
instant wins. He will win a lot in that #5. So...Does Shrub leave and go
to the #8? Wow..I thought Shrub had a pretty solid position there
but..maybe not! He may have gotten into just one too many fights and
tantrums!!

i thought he had a solid postion too. oh well, sayonara bush, hello jr.
now hendrick will dominate NASCAR. they'll be like the yankees of
racing, lol.

They already are the Yankees of NASCAR. They just added another big bat
to the lineup!!
I would think that choosing the #5 over the #8 would be a big financial
gain for Junior cause the fans would all have to buy new stuff with new
number on it to support their favorite driver! What do you guys think
about this? I think it will cost him to buy the #8 from Teresa unless
the go for the swap with Busch...numbers and drivers!!

Ahhh, enough of the Hendrick conspiracy. Lakeman, you know my feelings
on this.

And don't you ever refer to Jr in the same sentence as a Yankee. Dale
Sr is rolling over in his grave. laugh

Next year sure will be interesting. Especially since I am kidnapping
Elliott Sadler to be my personal love monkey.

Lakeman's photo
Sat 06/16/07 06:44 PM
LOL...Refering as a Yankee was only a way of comparing them to
baseball...LOL I guess that would be a slap in the face for senior but
junior already took the first swing by leaving Daddy's company!
Maybe Elliot needs a little something to start a fire under his butt. He
also needs a push to become great. I like his driving too...but not the
way you do..laugh drinker drinker bigsmile

It is not his driving. It is the tidewater accent. And he probably
still has a truckload of M&M's for me.

Lake, Sr did not drive for his company. Why should Jr especially when
his stepmonster gave him the shaft?

Did you see the press conference? Wonder what MR HENDRICK (so formal)
did for Kelley?

Lakeman's photo
Sat 06/16/07 09:51 PM
Did you notice that Rick joked that he is working for Kelly? I think it
was all a joke? Oh well.
Toss me some Peanut M&M's but he does not drive for them anymore.
Somebody else is driving the 38.

I agree about the step monster and also that Sr. didn't drive for DEI.
That company was born while Sr.was already imbedded into the RCR system.
I think that the company was mean't for Junior and the kids to have a
business to keep them going after Sr.was gone. Maybe I am wrong. I don't
know if it was mostly Teresa or Sr. running that business. All I know is
that it will be good for Jr. to be separated from her and out into the
real world with his piddly little salary...lollaugh  drinker

When I was alittle boy I was a David Pearson Fan. Then, I went to Cale
Yarbourh. I rooted for Dale Earnhart ever since Cale Yarbourh retired.
When he died I thought long and hard about who I would root for next. I
didnt pick jr, just because of his name. I am a loyal Nascar fan, and
loyalty means a lot to me. Dale Jr. is a traitor in my opinion, and now
I will go with who I have always beleived to be the best driver at DEI
since he moved up from the Busch series. MARTIN TRUEX JR. Sorry JR., but
you arent your daddy! If he would have went to Childress I would have
stuck with him. Too bad!!!!grumble grumble

I have always liked Truex Jr....He never had a great ride to prove his
worth. They are giving him the best now and look at the difference! That
is why Junior got tired of working with minimal equipment. Now that the
heat has been turned on...Teresa is spending the cash to save the
empire. She needed to do this long ago and Jr. would still be with her.
He wants to WIN. He could not race competitively with the equipment that
was given to him and he did not get along with Teresa because of it!! In
that kind of atmosphere,it's the best thing that ever could have
happened to him by moving to an organization that will give him
competitive rides.
