Have any of you heard the news that 4 police officers were slain in Tacoma, Washington at a FORZA coffee shop while doing their work? It is not clear if the gunman was there or came in and opened fire.

This is a tragedy of the worst kind. They, the police, leave behind their spouses, and 9 children. I saw their pictures in the paper today, and it seemed to me that they looked so very young. Maybe because I am so very old.

And the perpetrator let out of jail in another state when he had committed other hideous crimes? How can this be? And he had his own family....what about them?

None of this makes sense.
