I think pictures usually get a better response because this is not really a pen pal site. People who mingle generally like to see who they are mingling with.

You gotta admitt that some of these postings are fun as hell!

<=- is much prettier than me. So is the intended recipient. Over the past almost 2 years, I've pretty much varied the number of photos from maximum to none, from pictures of me, my pets, and various other things. In fact, I've noticed often that the "pictures that have touched me more were in fact not even pictures. One was simply a caption that I captured immediately because it was something I had hoped for. It read:

"Someday, someone will walk into your life and make you realize why it never worked out with anyone else <3"

I actually have no problems chatting with someone that doesn't have a piicture up for a while then I am going to ask to go off site so they can send one in private email. I may have a bit more empathy since when I first started the internet if I would have posted a picture I could have lost my job. Now almost 3 years later no biggie.

I also like on this site we can use avatars if we want to.

i usually stay clear of people without pics...nothing personal...unless it's a regular in forums...well known here, than i don't mind too much...
