As a member on this site ive viewed gots of nice womens profiles and ive sent lots of emails out to various people which i would like to date but nothing never comes out of it . My question is for all the womem on here is it a put off for guys to send out emails out as mostly its me that makes the first move or should i just wait for women to contact me as this is a good site to be on or am i trying to hard . If I were a guy, Id use the nudge feature. Nudge first, if there is a nudge back,,contact.. if no nudge back then move on.

Really? I wonder how many women return nudges from strange men. Unless I know the guy, I never return them. In fact, I add them to my block list.

The key is to be easy, no not like that. I mean be easy like not getting so worked up and taking things so personal. Maybe switch your game up a little, use the nudges, mutual match, etc. change up your message. Remember you will get rejected MOST of the time. So, just be easy, and don't take things so personal. Just roll with it. "Ya dig?"

I said I block them, I never said that you block them. I was giving my opinion of the suggestion to send nudges to women you don't even know. If you like to receive nudges from women you've never talked to, good for you! I'm saying not all women appreciate nudges from men they've never talked to on the forums or in email. As a female, I figure I can speak for some women.

As for this being a dating site, it is also a friendship site; not everyone is here for dating. Some people are already dating, or already married or just not looking. Many people are just here for friends- as I am.

So yeah, if a guy sends me an email, I'm not going to answer it, because I'm simply not interested. I hope you got some good advice from this thread, and I wish you luck in your search. Best to you!

Robkent, It's the nature of the beast, this online dating thing. I find that someone will email me showing great interest. I respond with a time consuming message and that's the last I ever hear. Or, everything matches with someone and I notice he lives in another state or they want to marry for citizenship!.
Try to take it in stride because you're not alone.

E-mail being the primary source of communication I've always found having good knowledge of the English language to help in getting responses...not that anyone really e-mails me all that often, but it does help if I can spell and use correct punctuation when I write them back.

Seeing as this is really the first glimpse they will get of you I think it to be of some importance to not use 'lazy' English or text shortcuts.
