I believed all your lies I embraced everything that was you I was willing to change myself Into what you wanted I can hear you saying- what a dumb *** I thought I loved you I thought you loved me I tricked myself into needing what you needed Wanting what you wanted All that was me was erased and destroyed Hidden away in a far closet Because I wanted you I know what you are thinking- what a dumb * You told me I was pretty and special I was all that you needed Even though I am far away Through no fault of my own You made me false promises You gave me false comfort I believe you lied from the start I can see you thinking- what a dumb * But life is a circle What you do comes back To you over and over and over again I was sad when I met you and now I am sad again I wish I could change you Because I don’t want to lose you Even though I never really had you I heard what you said about me- what a dumb * If I close my eyes I will awake from this dream It will be perfect the way I want it Nothing bad will have happened You will really love me And we will be together Forever just like you promised And then I won’t have to be- just another dumb ***. 09/05/05

Believing in someone, is much like loving them, if they turn on you....and be cruel.. sorry this happen to you,,,and I think you write damn good,, <--------gaurd this little red thing, and keep it close and when the RIGHT one comes along,,,YOU will just KNOW!

Awesome. And I can totally relate to this poem. I think you hit a solid chord of human experience with this. Though it's not something anyone wants to go through, it's something that many, many people have felt. Great write.

Although situations like this may hurt those involved, it is a learning curve. Yes, what goes around comes around, time will tell and karma will do the rest. Calleigh, you did proud on this write........... Dumb you're not!
