It's meaningless to me.

So, a man dressed in sweat pants and a T-shirt three sizes too small, with his belly poking out looks the same to you as a man in a hand made suit? Do you really expect me to believe that?

The clothes we wear make impressions on others. What you wear can change your first impressions on people dramatically. Making a good first impression is important because most of the time people won't talk to you if you don't come across well.

I am talking about social interactions here, not business. In business they often have to talk to you no matter how you look.

Your original question did not include that scenario. You said business suit vs. casual. Of course, the too small clothes would look ridiculous.

A business suit vs. clean jeans, t-shirt and tennis shoes (clean and they fit the person). It doesn't matter to me. If I knew nothing about the person at all and they were wearing either of those, they would be the same to me.

Hot and sexy or stiff and businesslike.

Sexy, for the most part. Unless they look totally uncomfortable wearing the suit.

So, as long as he's neatly dressed. This I understand. Thank you for clearing that up.

I'm not really picky about what a guy wears, as long as he's not a slob. But, there's something about seeing him all dressed up in a suit. It's definitely a nice change from seeing a tshirt and jeans all the time. Just like the men probably like seeing us dressed up at times as well.

I'm a nut for those make over shows like What Not to Wear on TLC. I love to see the change in the person. It's often very different. They start with a 6 and turn him or her into a 9.

As Oscar Wilde said:

"A well-knotted cravat is the first serious step in a man’s life."

I love What Not to Wear. I like seeing how completely different and better they look at the end.

Sorry, but all men want to see their women undressed.

Clinton looks good for the most part. But, I can't hang with the argyle sweaters. They're a little too "Potsy Webber" for me.
