Does anybody use facebook here on a regular basis? I have been using it for quite awhile, and consider myself a so-so user, meaning I consider myself user friendly with it, however they just revamped there format and now you can chat on line with other friends who are online also, did they always have this feature, or is this new? Have I been missing it all this time?

I started using Facebook to keep curretn with my grandchildren.
Now have been found by many friends & business associates. Facebook has always had a chat ability. I don't use it often, but have a few times. |

Darn, did not know that, I guess it's more in your face (pun not intended) now, cause it's right there along the left hand side of your page, and it shows who's online now, you just click the little green dot, and wella, your chatting, love it.

I don't do much chatting on Facebook, but I find it very useful for staying in touch with my friends and family and keeping up on their lives.

I did actually hook up with a lot of old friends from thirty years back but do I really need to know that they found a lizard on their farm or that they have so many points in mafiaville I dont care that a friend of a friend of a friend is now friends with someone I never heard of but on a positive note. I'm friends with Howie Mandell now |

Yeah, could someone please explain the whole Farm thing or the other hundredes of, find a diamond, or who do you sing like or favorite color thing that goes on there.
And you know the first time a family member sends you a flipping flower and you dont send one back they get ticked off. I dont have time for that stuff. |

The Facebook applications can be entertaining and usually beat the hell out of reading the same questions being answered by the same people day after day in forums like these. Each social networking place has its advantages and drawbacks. For instance, on Facebook I only read the thoughts of my friends. I am not subjected to the mind numbing idiocy that is rampant on these threads. |

I never liked FB but I did grow to tolerate it. Then they changed it to that new format and it just sucks. I don't use it anymore really.

Better get used to it, Quiet, since they changed it, all that crap takes up most of the page. They even made the icons huge so you can't miss who just enlarged their restaurant, yayyyy!! Ughh.....

Yep, I use facebook quite a bit. I use the chat feature to catch up with friends.

I'm on there quite a bit.
most of my family is, and I like to keep up with them. We're a close family, but don't get to see each other much. so it's good for that. |

Go to your facebook home page and look at the requests on the upper right corner. If you have invites/requests for applications that you no longer want to see, you can click on block application. That should help. I no longer have to see things about Farmville
 .
