Ok, so I am becoming very bothered by online dating sites. It seems the
only men who contact me are older than me, and I mean OLDER. No
offense, I am just interested in dating men my own age. The only
problem with that is men my age are interested in girls much younger
than they are. It seems to be a lose lose situation for me.....

How are internet dating sites different to the world outside your door?

Is it society?

Or is it that within the sites it is more available to you, as in you
are more exposed to people, in a faster medium?

In society people hate me and are cruel. Online I can be myself and be
liked to some degree.

bad, maybe people you've bonded with that are a part of your life now..

it seems for me i have lots of younger men intrested in me. then there
are older men and none my age or they live no where near me

at least men contact you..go with the flow.may be better than you think.

what is it that you are looking for,
what do you expect to come out of the journey,
what kind of person are you looking for,
Are you just ON the hunt just to find that person

I am trying this site, due to the luck I have experienced on other
sites. Nothing catostraphic, I have just been disappointed. The few
guys I have met that I thought were interesting enough to carry on
conversation with always went to the sex buddies thing. I am not on
dating sites for that at all. Friends would be a wonderful thing right
now!

Greeneyes - you can use your message filters to limit what age range of
people can contact you. Go to the "Mail" tab, then click on "filters".

Thanks for starting this thread because I never knew about the filters
option. Thanks Mike for that update....perhaps
you should share that option with other JSH members...

However, I just changed my preferences to reflect the age range I am
interested in because I am tired of these babies trying to get with this
Queen. I want a man who is around my age and
compatible.....I don't have time to train no man....

Yeah, filters are so great, I tried to write to a woman who would accept
mail from people four years older than her not five. Yeah, that extra
year makes a huge difference, can't be too careful. Five years older
here, I could have been her grandpa, right?
