Some favorite horror films from the last 10 years:

Trick R Treat- Excellent anthology with 4 stories interwoven in a small town during Halloween. Brian Cox is great as the Halloween "Scrooge".

The Cottage- Andy Serkis(Gollum from LOTR)and his brother kidnap a girl and hide out at a remote cottage, not far off a deranged farmer is on the prowl.

Bubba Ho-Tep- Elvis(Bruce Campbell) is not dead, but is living his golden years at a rundown East Texas retirement home. He befriends a man who thinks he is JFK(Ossie Davis) and together they join forces to stop a soul-sucking mummy.

My Name Is Bruce- Bruce Campbell plays himself( but as a total drunken slob) is kidnapped and taken to a small town to help fight a resurrected Chinese god. The problem is Bruce thinks its all a joke set up by his agent.
Coming soon: Bruce Vs Frankenstein

Dead Snow- Group of friends fight for their lives from Nazi zombies.

Zombieland- One of the best scenes in the movie is Bill Murray as himself.

Severance- The sales division of a company sent out for a team-building weekend in the woods cross paths with a group of killers.

Diary of the Dead- George Romero's Blair Witch-style mockumentary about a group of college filmmakers trying to escape the undead.

I Sell The Dead- Dominic Monaghan plays a grave robber in the 1800's who retells his and his partner's experiences of stealing from the dead, and the strange things they encountered. Ron Perlman, and Angus Scrimm(Phantasm's Tall Man) also make an appearance.

Quirky 80's films:

Remote Control '88 - A video store employee(Kevin Dillon)discovers aliens are trying to brainwash people with a cheesy movie. Jennifer Tilly, Deborah Goodrich

Nice Girls Don't Explode '87 - Whenever a teen girl gets "excited" things go up in flames- literally. Barbara Harris, Wallace Shawn

Static '86 - A crucifix factory worker invents a device that allows him to see heaven. Keith Gordon, Amanda Plummer

UFOria '85 - Residents of a small town prepare for arrival of "visitors". Cindy Williams, Fred Ward, Harry Dean Stanton.

Doin' Time On Planet Earth '88 - An odd teen believes he is alien royalty. Adam West, Roddy McDowall, Maureen Stapleton

The Wizard of Speed And Time '88 - A filmmaker tries to make a film for an evil film corporation. Writer/Director/Star Mike Jitlov based this on his real life experience working for Disney in the 70's.

Meet The Hollowheads '89 - Surreal look at a day in the life of a family. Mr Hollowhead is bringing his boss home for dinner- turns out the boss is a total lech. John Glover, Juliette Lewis, Lightfield Lewis(Juliette's real brother plays her brother)

Lobster Man From Mars '89 - A filmmaker tries to sell his film to a producer(Tony Curtis), we then see that film: A hilarious spoof of 1950's scifi. Deborah Foreman.

Tell it, my beautiful Twin Sistah Flame Bearer of my/our Tribe most ancient ...love

It grabbed my heart from the first few seconds ...

I was so shocked how much this film knew me, had explored me and described me ... Got me where I live, from whence I come ...

From the tribal medicine woman of nature ...

Down to the father that was the military ravage of destruction and death of "The Way" machine and guilt ...

Symbolism is far too weak a word, where words cannot convey ...

It is past DNA ... Soul ... Essence!

I don't know, I think the upcoming Smurfs movies is going to be the quintessential "blue people" epic.
