I don't really "diet". I know that if I just move that I can lose weight and get healthy. I pretty much eat what I want when I want. Being a vegetarian I don't have a lot of cravings for bad food..
for me it is mainly just staying active, which is hard for me during the winter months as I tend to hibernate.

I have managed to drop 5 pounds just switching off the Mountain Dew and Pepsi, and going to regular, lightly sweetened, ice tea. I add fresh mint leaves to give it a taste. I'm trying to cut back on the sweets, but the chocolate is a slow process... LOL!

yeah the soda pop drinks are a killer. people eat far too few fruits and vegetables in general. it is a great idea to limit carbs and sugars and eat as much fruit and vegetables as you like. i've tried to avoid dieting per se because restrictive diets are known to fail in the long term in most cases. instead, i just try to eat a little healthier and a little less in terms of quantity and try to get outside and enjoy the weather at lunchtime.

now that it is spring, i will take a walk/ride over to the kids playground at lunch and do some sit-ups, pull-ups and walking/biking or jogging there and in the adjacent park.
