ok...so your friend protested naked in public?
1. she should have looked into the punishment for it before hand and not complain after the fact 2. what does that accomplish? sort of takes away the focus of the protest unless you are protesting wearing clothes. 3. in public, she is exposing herself to kids. Is this really any different than a flasher that flashes kids? sorry, but don't do the crime if you can't do the time. If you make a choice to do the crime then accept the consequences of your actions my 3 cents |

I have a serious question. Are you on the registry? If you are, what were you charged with? The registries state what the conviction was. My female friend is.She was put on for naked protest. I feel that those kinds of cases shouldn't count as being a sex offender. Now ....if it's a naked man opening his raincoat and flashing children and others, that's another story. I also feel that an 18 yr. old boy having sex with a 17 yr. old girl does NOT make the 18 yr. old boy a sex offender. I feel that they should make the judgment on a case by case basis. I've looked online at the three sex offenders in my zip code. They've done some horrible things. I want to know where they live. They are the repeat offenders. There is no cure for them. |

It's my understanding that Megan's Law just means that sex offender's addresses are now public information. http://www.meganslaw.ca.gov/homepage.aspx?lang=ENGLISH that is exactly what im talking about.We all hav the right to privacy and freedom of movement They gave up that right when they broke the law and became a sex offender. As a mother, I want to know if a pedophile lives on my street. It's a safety issue for my child. win first THANK YOU for your comments.Wouldnt you want to know if a murder lived on your street.Second the law you can NEVER "lose" your rights.You can temporary hav them withdrawn(ie. being in jail) THRID how does knowing "a sex offender" living near you makees you safer???? Remember someone can be on there for just exposing their breast. You're welcome. Knowing where that sex offender lives does help. I know which house to keep my child away from. There is an older man on the next block that was in prison for sexually abusing a minor in his family. He isn't allowed to give out candy on Halloween night. That's fine with me. You never lose your rights? It's lost when you sexually harm a child. They are repeat offenders. It's a sickness that has no cure. |

My point is NOT EVERYONE on megans law is a "pedophille"that is my point.Now if u touch a kid??? prison for life is what i think. TOUCHING KIDS IS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!however they still hav civil rights. |

As far as I am concerned, a pedophile doesn't even rank as human. " Civil " rights?? How " civil " is it for an adult to do things to children?? I admit that the law does get a little carried away at times. There are some folks that simply did something stupid and wound up being considered a " sex offender ". However, in the case of pedophiles ( REAL pedophiles ) MY civil right to have my child be safe FAR outweighs their " right " to be able to move around wherever they want. |

Regarding your statement that "touching kids is wrong...however they still have civil rights".........They know what's up when they break that law. Then don't break that law. My child's safety trumps their civil rights in my eyes. A true pedophile is sick and there is no cure and they are repeat offenders. |
