Yeah! they pollute a lot more and they are SO SORRY FOR IT!

What makes you think BP benefits by polluting? This is wasteful, and eats into their bottom line. They have all the incentive to care (and be sorry) because they stand to lose everything they risked.

It's not normal for businesses not to care, so please enlighten me. waving

It's not that they WANT to pollute. However, certainly they are not only doing enough to HALT the pollution, but were not the least bit prepared for servicing this drilling. It seems they really don't care all that much about stopping it and are more interested in what they can capture from it, than halting it.

What leads you to believe they are more interested in what they can capture than halting the spill? Do you have insider information that I'm not privy to? I don't see how you can say either way if you haven't talked to the decision-makers in person. what

Actions speak louder than words.

What actions? How do you know that they aren't too tied up in lawsuits and regulations to do more? How do you know what they've done or not done? I can't make a firm decision either way till I see all the evidence, and I don't see why you rush to do so. what

Why in the world are you giving him the 3rd degree?laugh

They have not acted to end the leak.
There are no lawsuits nor regulations that would prevent them from capping the pipe. They did not build a rig that was serviceable.
It should have never been allowed. Quit making excuses for the worst ecological disaster ever, which continues to this hour.

with no end in sight for the near future....

Totally un-acceptable, and yet people continue to worry about money as the planet dies.

Unbelievable indifferent

You don't seem to understand the reason we concern ourselves with money. If we don't have any money, then we won't have resources or time or health to deal with the environment. I also don't see evidence that the planet is "dying". "Changing" is a more accurate word. It is a closed ecosystem, so organisms simply change from one form to another-whether humans exist or not.

I never said I "know everything", I just don't see significant objective evidence of your claims.
