I was hit by an uninsured car back in the day when car insurance wasn't mandatory. That didn't work out well out all.  Twenty years later I get hit by a car that has insurance because of that law. The thing is that many people here have been overstepping their authority. Janet Reno and Nancy Pelosi are two examples. Likewise Dick Cheney was a serious villain in all of this mess during the Bush years but everyone points the finger at Bush! (HALIBURTON COUGH COUGH). For one thing Canada has regulations on health care costs the US does not have and should have. We are RAPED on the cost of Pharmaceuticals. Insurance grabs at as much money as they can and don't care a lick for the patients. They only care about their Share Holders! If I remember Canada has also adopted a lot of what Germany does. Correct me if I am wrong but has health care there not been rendered non-profit like Germany? Also do you not demand absolute transparency for medical costs and service costs? That is not the case here! |

yes in canada our healthcare is free. all citizens pay cheap prices for perscriptions etc. Its not quite fully non profit but its semantics....the money they make gets pumped back in to the health system. Its a good health system here. There are for sure some major and minor differences in how the two govts operate. There are SOME similarities tho.
