Wondering....If you had nothing to gain...financial, social, etc...would you still get married or be married??? Just for....LOVE???? To be bonded with that one true love???

Love and marriage are not equals you do not need marriage to have love.

marriage is just a piece of paper and in the end it wasn't worth it anyways.

I've been married once and it was the worst experience in my life. No way I would ever go through that nightmare again.

Gawd NO!!!!!!!!!!noway

What the hell for???

What the perkuck does love have to do with marriage???

What does a ceremony involving a meringue shaped dress, and a $20 000 overdraft for a daft party have to do with FEELING bonded to someone?

One is pomp and ego based performance art, and the other is a deep and foundational FEELING.

they are not synonymous...

sides' you get more out of being single than being married. Cause' all i ever hear that happens after marriage is a whole lot of nothin happening. i'd rather still have the flame instead of a burnt out candle.

There is nothing on earth, except maybe a very rich childless widow, that would make me want to marry again.

Works for some, for some it is useless. Religion is a big thing for a lot of people, and a lot of religion values are tied into marriage.

I don't personally care for marriage, I think that love is stronger without a license between it.

What century is it? Does religion really even matter that much anymore?

I'm advocating legalizing gay marriage, and banning straight marriages.

Been married before, have wonderful kids. Regretting anything about the past, would include regretting i have such wonderful little people in my life.

Will i get married again, even though the last one was a ticking time bomb that blew my life apart? Yes. Hind sight is 20/20 and i see where i was wrong.

Truth of the matter is, you can live alone or live with someone. Your life will have equal amount of hardships. Easier going through them, knowing that someone made a commitment to be by your side, no matter what it takes.

..thats why peoples marriages dont work out, because people get married for the benefits of physical things. When that supply is exhausted [money, good looks, sexual desire] marriage looses its purpose and falls apart. To be married, means to set a goal that will take a life time to reach. In process of reaching that goal, you and your partner will become the best of friends.. just as many do with co-workers that work for the same goal for the same company.. and they do so for many many decades, daily basis, 10-12 hours a day,
