Topic: to love or to be in love- any difference?

I love the color purple, I love roses, I love aquariums, I love dogs, I love my friends, I love to read, I love a good movie BUT I am not IN LOVE with any of those.. So to me they are different.. Being in love is not an immediate emotion, it's the ultimate emotion..

When you say- I AM IN LOVE (with you/him/her), is it the same as to say I LOVE (you/him/her)?
I think, "being in love" is just an immediate emotion, while feeling LOVE is something more powerful and more permanent.
What do you think?

I think feeling love involves a sincere desire for someone elses happiness and does not require romance

I think being 'in love' is a sincere happiness that comes from having a romantic desire fulfilled
