I had a real nice date the other night. One of our residents had this doll she was carrying around. To her the doll is real and it doesn't matter if the doll has female features because to her it is always a boy. She has a lot of dolls. But after a while she usually gets tired of watching it so she handed it to me. I got tired of handling it and gave it to the other male aide and told him that it is his turn to babysit the doll for a while. After a while he got tired of holding it and gave it back to me. Then the resident wanted the baby back. I told the resident that he is a nice baby. He never cries and he is a good boy.

What kind of criteria?

eh, for me...

1. no psychics
2. no smoking
3. fit enough to enjoy activities outside
4. educated (in life or in school)...
5. phsical, emotional, and if I am lucky spritual connection/attraction....
6. positive, fun-loving... even kinda goofy/nerdy... :)...

Prety basic really...

Those are preferences. Not what I was talking about.

Rules...........no I tend to see where things go.......if put in place rules it just makes others with to bend or break them.......I take each instance as it is presented and make up my own mind as to whether it is something I wish to deal with or not.......k.i.s.s............here's to keeping it simple......

What about who pays for a date? I know there are some women out there who refuse to pay, or even to offer. The man always having to pay seems to be a rule that many use.

I do apply rules to first dates, but that's really all about personal safety, i.e. first dates are always in daylight hours, in a public place, and I meet them at the venue rather than have them pick me up.

Those aren't really the kind of rules I'm talking about. But yes, that's a good idea.

No rules in love all is fair, because its risky. Besides we all break our rules for exceptions. I think deal breakers are a for sure, because in love you have to compromise somewhere or you will end up ALONE!

RULES?!! Never have appreciated those things much - besides which I can never remember them. On a slightly more serious note though - obviously people should take care of their personal safety. After all, the chances are that you will be meeting a stranger - unless you consider some internet chat to be a good way of really getting to know another person. As a consequence I would suggest that for a first meeting - as has already been stated by at least one other mingler on this thread - a day-time meeting in a public place is a good idea. Take it easy, relax and 'tune in'. Listen to your instincts and enjoy yourself.

What he said......every person is different....and each date is different.....so if treat each individual with the different set of eyes and you can be easy going enough to check out the dating situation.....and if its not for you say so....simple......it could be a hot dog and the boardwalk or it could be dinner at grove market a bicycle ride it could be the parade or the concert at the Bottle and Cork.........take each new experience as just that an experience and if I wish to continue it I do so

I don't have rules, they are more like guidilnes. For example, for at least the first several dates, I run the show. I make all the plans and decide where we're going and what we're doing. She can relax knowing that I've taken care of everything.
