Okay! I gotta question for MichiganMan and one for all the rest of you!
MichMan, what the heck is going on up in Traverse City? One of my cousins just had a baby and is barely 18. And I saw on facebook that her friend who is 19 is pregnant with her second child?!?!? What the heck is going on up there?!? For everyone else..... what the heck is going on? Seems like there is more and more teen pregnancies (I know there has always been, but...) When I was young and dumb, I knew enough to use a condom when I was not on birth control. Being young and sexually active, I was extremely careful to guard myself against pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. (This is so disheartening to me.... parenthood isn't easy, but even more difficult when you are not prepared and ready for a baby.) Comments? Thoughts? |

Hahaha I think it's something in the water......shshsh first found out my ex daughter in-law was pregnant then found out shortly after that my son's g/f is pregnant then.........................found out two nights ago my daughter is pregnant.............
  Of course all of them are over the age of 25 but...........ohhh my this is going to be one year for babies went from only one granddaughter for the last 8 years. By the end of this year I will have three grand babies....

And, I know even now at 30, how I approach babies is very different then when I was 22/23. |

So very true it is sad to see babies having babies. Girls are having sex much earlier then heck when I did as if it is no big deal. Makes me wonder about the parents at times and what they tried to at least teach them.
Even though my sons first child was born when he turned 20 I was very open with my kids when it came to sex and the consequences. I think a lot of it has to do with kids that are latch key kids as well too many parents are having to focus on their jobs and spending a lot less time with their kids.....Jmo...
