I live in Parkes, NSW. Joined last week, and so far, no one has viewed my profile.
So, am I too remote? Went searching, but can only find others in capital cities and other states.
Well, I had better get out there and spread the word in regional NSW about this site. It does not have anyone else local to this area on it.

My experience has been that the best way to get noticed here is to participate in the forums, which you have already started doing!

I'm not trying to minimize the value of a good profile, BUT people will only see that if they do a regional search or look for you specifically, which they won't do if they don't know you're on the site.

On the other hand, forum posting exposes you to a lot of people who would not otherwise ever know you existed!

I've had (literally, no exaggeration) hundreds of people view my profile after reading something I wrote in the forums. Some of those people have become good friends. Others, well, some of them just want to complain, but that's OK. Attention is attention, right?
