The Princess Bride is #1

...though I do have a few catching up to it. For instance, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and the Lord of the Rings. Army of Darkness never gets old either.

Others:

The Great Escape
The Killer
A Better Tomorrow
The Swordsman
Star Wars Trilogy
As Good As It Gets
Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade
Cinderella Man
The Natural

...and a lot more. I would have to go through my movie collection to find all the movies I really love.

Celebrities I've met:

Dan Lauria
(dad on The Wonder Years and currently playing Vince Lombardi on Broadway)
Met him in college when he spontaneously decided to join our Dorm Dinner rather than be with the college administrators for dinner. This actor is just a normal guy like the rest of us. A very nice guy, easy to talk to and laugh with. Doesn't like L.A. or Hollywood very much - was thinking of leaving The Wonder Years so he could move back to New York City....which he did after the show was canceled.

Max Showalter
(the grandfather in Sixteen Candles, but also one of Lucille Ball's closest friends, has been in plenty of older movies, used to live not far from my grandmother, now deceased)
Met him in high school during a Career Day. A very interesting and personable man who had plenty of stories to tell, and every one was fascinating.

Art Carney
(best known for The Honeymooners, had a summer home here in my hometown, I went to school with his grandchildren)
I didn't get to know him too well - knew his grandchildren much better. I met him on three occasions, each time very briefly. Two of those times were while I was working.

Richard Russo
(author of Nobody's Fool and Empire Falls)
My college writing professor. Funny, compassionate, but also a bit reserved and private. I honestly liked Russo a lot, and would like to get back in touch with him. He put in a lot of time and study and failure before finally becoming published, and before winning a Pulitzer Prize for Empire Falls. His perseverance is to be admired by anyone interested in becoming a writer.

...I feel like I am forgetting someone. Maybe I'll remember someday. Sometimes my head begins to swim a bit because I've met a ton of politicians and have met some local TV celebrities too. I do know that Stephanie Seymour use to be a semi-regular at a restaurant I used to work at (a small place that sat maybe 65), but that was 2 years before I started working there again.

I'd have to say my personal favorite movie of all time would have to be Contact, or possibly Something Illuminated.

RECENT favorites were 'The social Network', 'Tron: Legacy', and the latest Harry potter movie.

Oh? I can't recall! I'm too busy watching the horror movies I download by the day. Hahaha. I'm backlogged. I haven't even started on the Afterhorror movies. I will look that one up for sure, though. When was this?
