hmmm well i am home in Australia again and just in time for the storms and cyclones to hit our end. i love the wind and lightning, have just tied everything down, pulled out all the torches matches and extra food and junk so we are set.    or i can just lie beside you while the roof gets ripped off and when the storm is over we see the stars in each others arms lolllll and we wake up floating and say wowwwwwwww what a night haha lolllllll BIG HUGSSSSSSS MY FRIEND i hope your safe love ya  
. I think a knight in shining armour would probably rust or sink up here. but the boat might work. We had a huge cyclone years ago, but I wasnt here for it, and the top of the motel went, but the bottom stayed put. So if worse comes to worse the bottom should stay where it is, and if we end up floating anywhere here, thats the end of us as the crocs will eat us for sure.  Luv ya, behave yourself and be careful

I would prabably eat all the chocolates and sink our boat, and then the crocs would still eat us.  Actually if the storms get really bad, we have a few truckies and stuff in thye motel and they are a laugh so at least we will have some fun, and not a heaps of worried and serious people.

Heya Josie....glad to read you are ok up there in the Top End...
It's been an absolute cracker of a season this year...(officially we are half way through the season,for you guys in the other Hemisphere) and apparently we have another low that is being watched in the Coral Sea...
Seriously... I have just about had a gutful of rain, floods, wind, and having to get freakin prepared AgAIN...poor chooks don't know if they need rain coats, life jackets or bloody parachutes!

I know we had something like 700mm in 48 hours, thats just ridiculous, and yep they think that this one is starting up again, it headed out to sea and is picking up again, so who knows. we have had record rains this year, and it is actually almost cool up here, which is realy strange for this time of the year, well its not cool enough for a jumper, but cooler than normal.
Now we have croc warnings as there is so much water around they are making homes in places they normally wouldnt, and the snakes are coming up looking for shelter. Nothing like an adventure in the backyard. |

The crocs have been displaced all over the top end...there were croc warnings from north of cairns down to Mackay also...apparently they got brought in on the tidal surges...
and snakes..I am so freakin sick of them!...I had a juvenile brown, (about 1 metre long) meander through the yard this arvo...and went right into where I have been attempting to clear back the 7 foot tall rhodes grass which is taking over everything. In the xmas rains we had snakes tucked up on the underside of the house, 6metres(20foot)up in the bloody air!...they were really not happy at all, with their habitats being soggy or flooded out, at all. |

Tell me about it, they like our laundry, but so far havent found any hiding there. The worst part is its a huge industrial laundry and they like it under the washing machine and dryer, right where you stand to put things in and take them out.
I dont mind the snakes, just dont want them where I am standing |
