then suddenly you met someone and you were ready?

The question that I would ask is, what is it about that someone that made you feel that you were ready? Was it something that you can put into words, or was just chemistry?
for me.. this happens not after two yrs though.. it is if you are dating.. and to me dating does not mean sleeping together.. rather you are dating one or 4.. dating means getting to know someone.. now with this.. one or 4 who cares... facts are you can have the feeling of not being ready with one. then the next week go on a date with someone else and yes.." the chemistry happens" so only a week before was it really that you werent ready or was it they just werent right for you... see i have had this happen to me before. and i came to the realization yes the chemistry wasnt there..though i thought i just wasnt ready... from this i learned.. to not tell someone that!! to just move on.. never realized this till a much older age of humm 39? cause i never dated much...and i settled <not realizing at the time>

so was chemistry enough of an answer to ensure a solid, lasting relationship? My sense is that, without chemistry, it is a waste of time (unless you're just good friends). At the same time, I don't think that chemistry alone is enough. But I will say is that chemistry is certainly enough to change everything.

Yeah I guess I question if he really means it or if he is just telling me what I want to hear to keep me on the hook.

It depends, do you put out? He may not want to get rid of a sure thing.............

I dont want to believe that he is still looking, but anything is possible I guess. I'm just at a loss...do I give him an option, or just split?
dump his *** and find someone who'll give you what you need...plenty more fish in the sea

After two years, moving in together is very reasonable.
I wonder what's got him so spooked about it.
