If it's your first tattoo, just a warning that bony areas are really sensitive. You may want to choose a fleshier area for the first one - unless you are REALLY committed. Where mine goes near my collarbone I swore he was tattooing the side of my neck. It was a weird sensation.

What ever you get make it meaningful to you, after all it is your tattoo. Something that you or your close friend drew might be more meaningful than a random pic you find on the internet of the tattoo shop's wall.

BTW, I will agree with the collar bone, my snake runs up there...

Collar bone and ribs are def painful. But I wouldnt let that stop you from placing it there. If you want it bad enough....the pain is worth it.

LOL...It only hurts while the needle is there (and a short time after), otherwise it is cool...

It's a different feeling than a needle too. I found it was more of a vague burning sensation. It certainly isn't like 100 tiny needles. I agree with the others though, to make sure that the piece you choose is significant to you and make it personal. Good luck with it and start picking out the next one - they are SO addictive!

i was going to say something sim my 1st is on my rt upper arm of 2:heart's joined my nicname my dad gave me and around it say's in loving memory of wesley lewis atkinson and his bd and day he left oh ya the yr's as well.then 2nd rt above left boob of a bunny and ya the boney area is a lil more tender but didnt bother me,and i am amumed to pain.and have 4 more and getting ready to getting ready to get 7th n memory of a loved one i lost n nov. oh good luck and if needels dont bother u u will b fine and u both need to go together and get the first more special is the rt place for u
