This is a true story and im a big coffee drinker from Starbucks. I think this is Bull!!

Guess I will not be drinking Starbucks any more. Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they send some of it to the troops there. Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee. So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by buying any of their products! I feel we should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the men & women on the ground fighting street-to-street and house-to-house. If you feel the same as I do then pass this along, or you can discard it and no one will ever know. Thanks very much for your support. I know you'll all be there again when I deploy once more.

I can't imagine anyone at Starbucks corporate, being that stupid. If this were true every news station in the nation would eat them alive.

No they woud'nt, the media will support any effort to hurt the President. And if it hurts troops in the field as well, that acceptable collateral damage.

I don't agree with this war, but I support the troops. They didn't choose to be there, they're following orders. I wish them well. Starbucks, on the other hand, can rot.I wonder if they really don't support the troops, or don't send anything because they're greedy corporate bastards. Either way, it's reprehensible. Remember, despite the way they potray themselves, they're just another corporate entity, obsessed with profit only. Screw everybody else. Why do they get a free pass, while Wal-Mart is raked over the coals on a daily basis?

Guess I'll stick to my Folger's with hazelnut creamer-purchased at Wally World.

i don't see too many corporations making stands that can be a publicity nightmare such as this one. they usually tend to be politically correct or make no comment at all.

if someone did actually make that statement i don't see them having a job for long.
