I hear atheists in middle eastern countries generally have it much worse than atheists in the US.

in Middle east , atheism considered by most communities and some countries as a crime , and the atheist is more likely to be killed ....
so for us ( atheists ) not much more chances , few countries like Lebanon , Tunisia and somehow Syria still considered secular countries where you can announce your atheism freely . ps : situation in Syria may change if the islamic coup d'etat succeeded as radical muslims are known for killing anyone who don't agree with their beliefs |
