I think NOT. Who gives a crap if they are uncomfortable or at risk of violence...
That's their problem, and Im sure when they stole our cars or raped us, or murdered us, they were being extra considerate....(us-being the general law abiding person) Who cares if they run out of beds and sleep in open spaces and under each others beds... |

I care
Eventually some of these inmates will be released..back into society. I would like to know some have been reformed and want to do better. Take away a mans dignity and he has no motivation to improve. |

when i was younger, i was placed in time out and received spankings, that was part of my shame and I am okay.
Most of these men in prison are there cuz three strike law or heinous crime. The fact that they are mostly adults give me little room to believe that they can be reformed... |

there are still people in prison that got busted with a joint 10 years ago... their still human and their well-being affects us all hard pill for most to swallow...were all one I am aware of that, but I doubt it was JUST A JOINT, it has to be over an ounce to even qualify as an offense. At least in my state. Lets not forget people who lace their joints in PCP as well. Drug offenders should be sent to drug rehabilitation centers, not prison...but I am sure many of these criminals are the same ones who bilked millions of dollars from people cash scheme crimes-and have heinous crimes...people who have been convicted and sentenced have gone through trial and the facts were presented. I am not talking about the (exception to the rule-the one or two who are falsely imprisoned) I am talking in general-the majority of the people in there, (gangs and what not) dont deserve any special privileges. |

How are you sure..how could you possibly be sure about any one in prison unless you personally know them? I have known many over the years that have gone to jail, prison..none of them were gang members. A bed is a special privilege Point is..we are all one (whether you believe it or not) and the well-being of other humans DOES affect you... I care about humanity, prisoners are part of humanity, as much as some don't like it..they still are. |

There was also a huge freedom movement that unfortunately led to more violence. I am talking about prisoners here, like LONG TERM, have gone through jury selection, have been sentenced through court procedures, as i mention I am not talking about the exception to the rule, I am talking about the majority of prisoners, I did not say they were all gang members, but then again I am closer to LA. I went to jail for J-walking, as in crossing the street, I stayed overnight, I posted bail, I sued I won. ONE NIGHT! These PRISONS are long term....convicted people. I am talking about the hardcore criminals.... |

I had a post here months ago, that I had seen on the news that we received a ten million dollar govt, grant to restructure the Death chamber in which prisoners on death row were executed, because it was outdated and inhumane.....
The prisoners in other words were not dying fast and painless enough... (huh- just like the victims they beat and rape for hours on end before they murder them) I am sorry, but if someone kidnaps my child and rapes them,slams crowbars up their backside and lights them on fire, sits and watches them burn----A recent story i saw on Dr.PHIL last week--- I could CARE LESS if they slept with rats and snakes and died of gang green. honestly, I couldnt. Instead they get out early for getting free education and working while lifting weights and working out, a majority of them who get released, and then go rob a store or take a family hostage within 48 hours of their release. . . |
